TARGET AUDIENCE:

Required for those in middle management in the care sector

OBJECTIVES:

This qualification meets the new National Occupational Standards and is intended for social care managers who are able to demonstrate competence at the appropriate level in key areas that include managing activities, people and other resources, information and quality. This qualification is relevant to people who are responsible for:

• Allocating work to others
• Achieving results by using resources effectively
• Carrying out policy in a defined area of authority
• Controlling limited financial budgets
• Contributing to broader activities such as change programmes and recruitment
• Complying with quality systems and continuously improving quality
