To introduce managers to up to date approaches to managing teams and providing leadership
CONTENT:
Day One:
- Tools to examine the effectiveness of communications
- Develop strategies to improve internal communications
- Consider the role of team briefing
- Managing the ‘grapevine’
Day Two:
- Brief history of approaches to managing teams
- The formation and operation of work groups/teams
- Skills required to manage teams effectively
- Practical application of a team development approach
- Introduction to the concept of transformational leadership
