FIRST AID – 1 DAY

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Employees, all trades and sectors

Since 1981 it has been a legal requirement that employers have trained First Aiders in the workplace.  The Health and safety (First Aid) regulations 1981, place a responsibility on all employers to provide adequate and appropriate first aid provision for their employees. First Aid certificated must be revalidated every three years.

OBJECTIVE:

To learn the first aid principles and gain a certificate in First Aid
Certificate: Valid for 2 years.

CONTENT:

  • Appointed Persons
  • Resuscitation
  • Control of Bleeding
  • Treatment of the unconscious casualty
  • Communications and contents of First Aid boxes
  • Heart disorders and epilepsy
  • Shock
  • Burns and scalds
  • Infection Control procedures
  • Scene and casualty safety
