WEBSITE DESIGN

DURATION:

Two Day

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Those with a good knowledge of using the Internet and familiarity of Windows and MS Word applications

During this course, you will begin to design your own personal website using Microsoft FrontPage. Each participant will have a computer to work on.

OBJECTIVES:

To be able to plan, create, and update your own personal website

CONTENT:

  • Introduction to Internet, HTML, FTP, graphics files and scanning
  • Planning a website
  • Acquiring scanned photographs and pictures, and developing other graphics
  • Design: colour, text and layout
  • Website production: content, pages, links, e-mail enquiries

PRE-COURSE ACTIVITY:

Bring along some ideas for a website, including text, photographs. Have a look a some websites
